Skyfront VR Beta 2.0 test round-up

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to participate in our Beta test and share their valuable feedback with us. We literally could not have done this without you!

Wow, have the last few weeks been hectic for us… So for those who aren’t aware we had not 1, but 2 consecutive weekends of Beta testing. Mind you, these were our first public tests of the game and we were very eager to hear players’ thoughts on what we’ve been building all this time. Luckily for us, the reception was very positive. This meant that the solutions we applied to our theory whilst developing the game were bearing fruit! Which was a huge stone off our chest.

We can’t stress enough how valuable the community was, by providing us with instant and detailed feedback. It was also really cool to see the new ways in which players engaged with the game. We were aware of some of the bugs in the game and with your cooperation, we were able to narrow down the issues we should tackle firsthand. Most of those bugs will be eliminated in time for Early Access.

Here are some interesting numbers from the Survey that we conducted  after the Beta test:

  1. Majority of participants had little to no motion sickness playing the game. This is our proudest achievement to date and we are happy people with the result.

  1. Although the map in the Beta test was a starting point for us, it was received well enough, just passing the mark.

  1.  A great number of you had a positive experience playing the game with a rating of 10 being the most positive and 1 being not that fun.

  1. It was interesting to see, that although the initial ratings for the Revolver were low, we saw an increase of its use with more experienced players.

Now that we are happy with the basics of the game and we head forth with development, our main objective is to create more content as fast as possible! Mind you, we’re an indie team with limited resources, so bigger developments may take a bit of time.

But we also don’t want to create yet another game with a tunnel vision process. We want the players to be a part of the development too. Because at the end of the day we are creating the game for YOU!

The ideas and suggestions provided by the community will play a crucial part in the direction we develop Skyfront VR. So we strongly encourage you to reach out:

And if you’re feeling it, we’re always up for a bit of banter.
